Synopsys Launches OpenVera Catalyst Program
Twenty leading design and verification service companies join program to provide OpenVera verification intellectual property and expert verification services
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., September XX, 2001 - Synopsys, Inc. (Nasdaq:SNPS), the technology leader for complex integrated circuit (IC) design, today launched the OpenVera™ Catalyst Program with the participation of 20 design and verification service companies. The OpenVera Catalyst Program creates a broad network of design and verification service companies with expert tool and methodology knowledge in leading verification solutions such as VERAŽ, testbench tool, VCS Verilog™ simulator and Scirocco™ VHDL simulator to help the design and verification community meet the challenges of system-on-a-chip(SoC) verification.

Participating members of the Catalyst Program will create and commercialize OpenVera verification intellectual property to accelerate the development of complete verification suites. The verification suites include traffic generators, bus functional models, protocol checkers and functional coverage objects. The initial OpenVera Catalyst Program members are: Aurora VLSI, Azure Software, ControlNet, CMOSChips, e-Infochips, GDA Technologies, HCL Technologies, Inspiration Technologies, Interra Technologies, Intrinsix, Netsys Software, Paradigm Works, PicoCraft, SmartSand, Qualis Design, Silicon Interfaces, Spike Technologies, Willamette HDL, WiPro and Zaiq Technologies.
